Project will yield new pedestrian space on Saw Mill Lane Bridge
New sidewalk space along the Saw Mill Lane bridge will be available to pedestrians upon completion of the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority's Southern Extra High Redundancy and Storage Project.
Over the next two years, the project will affect areas around the Mother Brook, and a 3-foot diameter water main will be installed alongside the Saw Mill Lane bridge's structure. The new pedestrian area will cover the new pipe.
Before-and-after images are shown below. Additional photographs and renderings are available for download.
Information about the project, whose construction will affect other neighborhoods of Dedham, can be found on the MWRA's Project Updates web page which is updated regularly. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2019.
