Town Issues a Financial Newsletter

Last spring, members of the Board of Selectmen discussed ways to communicate Town financial information to residents and businesses.

Over the summer a working group studied how other communities inform stakeholders about municipal finances. The group decided to compile a brief newsletter and distribute it to all property owners in Dedham. 

At the Selectman's meeting last week, the Board discussed the newsletter in public session and voted to mail it out along with the next property tax bills, which will be mailed in September.

Printed copies will be available at Town Hall and at library branches, and the Financial Newsletter can also be downloaded from the Town website.

This newsletter will likely become an annual document. If you have any suggestions or comments on what to include in the next issue, please let us know. Your feedback is very much appreciated.
