Dedham to Offer Early Voting for Residents

New provision aims to encourage participation by making voting more convenient

October 9, 2018—(DEDHAM, MA) Dedham voters will be able to vote at their convenience this election thanks to early voting laws, Town Clerk Paul Munchbach announced today.

Beginning October 22nd and running through November 2nd, registered voters in Dedham will be able to cast their vote in the November 6th election.

“Dedham has a strong legacy of politically active and engaged citizens, and we see early voting as the next step in ensuring maximum participation in our elections,” said Paul Munchbach, Dedham Town Clerk. “We’ve worked hard to ensure residents have opportunities to vote that meet the needs of their busy lives and look forward to welcoming our voters this fall.”

Dedham will offer early voting at these times:

Monday, Oct. 22                8:30am-4:30pm

Tuesday, Oct. 23               8:30am-4:30pm

Wednesday, Oct. 24         8:30am-7:00pm

Thursday, Oct. 25             8:30am-4:30pm

Friday, Oct. 26                   8:30am-4:30pm

Sunday Oct 28                  8:00am-12:00pm Endicott Estate 656 East St

Monday, Oct. 29               8:30am-4:30pm

Tuesday, Oct.30                8:30am-4:30pm

Wednesday, Oct. 31         8:30am-7:00pm

Thursday, Nov. 1              8:30am-4:30pm

Friday, Nov. 2                    8:30am–4:30pm

Early voting will take place at the Dedham Town Hall, Lower Conference Room, 26 Bryant Street and on  Sunday Oct 28  8:00am-12:00pm Endicott Estate 656 East St 

Absentee voting is still available for voters who qualify. Only those who will be absent from their town on Election Day, or have a disability or religious belief that prevents them from going to the polls are legally allowed to vote by absentee ballot. To request an absentee ballot, visit http://www.sec.state.ma.us/ele/eleifv/howabs.htm

Please note that once a voter has cast an early voting ballot, the voter may no longer vote at the polls on Election Day.

To check to see if you are registered to vote visit www.sec.state.ma.us/ele.  

If you need to register to vote, you may do it online at www.RegisterToVoteMA.com or at the Town Clerk’s office at Town Hall (26 Bryant Street).  To be eligible to vote in the November 6th State Election, you must register to vote or make any necessary changes to your voter registration by October 17th.
