The Dedham High School Swimming Pool is located on Recreation Road, just off of High Street (Behind the High School/ Adjacent to Avery Elementary School). Youth Swim Lessons:
Kinderswim- The weekday kinderswim program is approximately 45 minutes long. The class consists of anywhere from 2-8 children. These classes are geared for children with little to no swim experience at all. Parents are invited to sit on the bench along the side of the pool; they do not swim with the child. There are typically 2 instructors in the water for classes of 4 or more.
Kinderswim I - Ages 2-3 (Flounders)
Kinderswim II- Ages 3-4 (Angelfish)
Kinderswim III- Ages 4-5 (Goldfish)
Red Cross Swim Levels- The Red Cross swim lessons are broken into 6 Levels. View or download course descriptions here.
Summer Swim & Gym Program:
This program is divided into equal daily increments of Swim Lessons, Physical Education and Arts & Crafts.
3 week program, (15 classes) Monday- Friday mornings.
Children are divided by age group then skill level.

Competitive Stroke Clinic:
This clinic is for competitive swimmers who would like to work on turns and techniques of all four competitive strokes. Additional workouts are geared to building competitive endurance. The program is open to all swimmers aged 5-18 who are interested in getting into shape prior to the winter swim season. See the activity registration page for availability.
Lifeguard Certification Classes:
Lifeguard Training classes are offered at the Dedham Pool from time to time.
Course Description: Each student will be taught the skills required to recognize and deal with an aquatic emergency. Students will be required to swim 300 yards of both freestyle and breaststroke. They will also be required to complete lifesaving skills required of the training such as CPR. Both pool and classroom time will be required each day attendance is mandatory. Registration is limited to 15 people.
