BD Kenpo Karate
The BD Kenpo Karate School and Program (BDKJA) has been located at the Dedham Recreation Department since 2007 and actively trains tots, children, teens and adults in the art of Kenpo Karate, Judo and Ju-Jitsu. The program holds class year round, in 8 week sessions, every Monday night and, in addition to teaching the martial arts, the program focuses its students on the positive qualities of discipline, self respect, teamwork, confidence, focus and self improvement.
BDKJA is staffed by founder and owner Professor Brian Denton, 7th Dan and by Sensei Drew Mulvey, 4th Dan. These Black Belt Instructors have over 45 years teaching and training in the martial arts. Since it's inception, our school has also produced several black belts including John Adams, Cindi Denton, Rose Dacey, Gina Pasciuto and Glenn Price. All of our classes are led by black belt instructors to insure the highest level of training.
BDKJA is also a proud member of NEKICK (Northeast Karate Instructors of Combat Kenpo) and supports its charitable programs and 2 yearly tournaments which raise money for children's charities and the underserved in the communities where our schools are located.
