With stations in Dedham Square and East Dedham, the Fire Department:
- Provides fire and emergency medical services to all those who live, work and visit Dedham.
- Promotes fire prevention and education.
- Oversees code enforcement and reviews plans for new construction and renovation of residential and commercial buildings.
- Conducts inspections and issues permits for residential smoke detectors, underground storage tanks, hotels, schools, and oil tanker trucks.

Fire Suppression Division
Responds to fires, motor vehicle accidents, hazardous material incidents, medical emergencies, and any other situations that may present a hazard to lives and property in the Town.
