Planning & Zoning provides administrative support to three boards and two committees whose members (some elected, some appointed) oversee how residential, commercial, industrial, and recreational land in Dedham is used.
Please see individual board and committee pages for:
- Applications and forms,
- Meeting schedules, agendas, minutes, and
- Decisions rendered by each board or committee.
Members elected to this Board study and plan for the needs of the Town in relation to land uses and zoning for current and future real estate development.
Members appointed to this Board grant or deny variances or special permits to the Town's Zoning Bylaw which may be sought by property owners or developers.
Members appointed to this Board provide information, recommendations, and professional design review of proposed buildings and signage.
Members appointed to this Committee review and oversee the Town's open space preservation and recreational needs.
Members appointed to this Committee evaluate progress being made to achieve the long-term real estate and economic development goals of the Town, which are defined in a document called the Master Plan.
