Summary of Responsibilities:

Ascertaining that all requirements are met before Permits are
issued
Issuing Building Permits
Issuing Electrical Permits
Issuing Plumbing and Gas Fitting Permits
Doing all inspections relative to above
Enforcing Town of Dedham Zoning By Laws, State Building Code, Sign Code, State Electrical Code, and State Plumbing Code
Citing violations and imposing fines when necessary
Investigating complaints that come under our jurisdiction
Annual Inspection of all places of assembly

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday*	8:30 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.
Wednesday	8:30 A.M. - 7:00 P.M.
Inspectors’ in-office Hours Monday through Friday	8:30 A.M. - 10:00 A.M. 3:30 P.M. - 4:30 P.M.

Inspectors are also in the office alternating Wednesday evenings. { Please check with the individual inspectors regarding their Wednesday evening hours, and other hours available during the day.

*Beginning with the Friday preceeding Memorial Day weekend through the Friday of Labor Day weekend, the Town Hall closes at 1PM on Fridays
