The Dedham Youth Commission sponsors a yearly Holiday Program-The Charlotte and Bob Castagnola Gift Program

School counselors and Social Service agencies give names to the Youth Commision of youth and families in need during the holiday season. The Youth Commission provides gifts to those  young people and families. .  In 2009, 420 Dedham children and teens were served.  The program has been so successful that it has also donated money to The Dedham Community House to fund 10 Summer Scholarships.  The program is named in honor of Charlotte Castagnola, a former adjustment counselor and Board Member of the Youth Commission, and her husband Bob, who was a Social Work professor at Boston College and a community activiist.

Residents can help by "adopting" a child at the Holiday Season or making a financial donation to The Dedham Youth Commission Gift Account:  Attention Castagnola Gift Program.
