Wrestling News
 The Dedham Recreation Elementary Wrestling program concluded another successful season on Monday, March 16th. Seventy seven wrestlers worked hard for eight weeks learning takedowns, breakdowns and pinning combinations. Our wrestlers are separated by grade levels when in their groups where they mastered the single and double leg takedown. On the mat, they learned how to breakdown their opponent so to pin his shoulders to the mat for the quick victory. The best part and the real reason they came to practice was the killer games of Kings, Bull Rush and Scorpion. I would like to thank all of our volunteer coaches who helped keep the “Little Terrors” focused on having fun while learning a new sport. This year’s volunteer wrestling coaches were Frank Fitzgerald, Tom Walsh, Steve Toubman, George Chu, Paul Curran,, Jan Smida, Mike Maher Chris Hales and Jim Maher. Next year, we will welcome all the new 5th graders to the Championship Recreation Middle School Team. The following wrestlers were part of the “Little Terrors” Recreation Wrestling Team.
