2010 I/I Inspection Project

  

The Town of Dedham Engineering Department is pleased to announce that the 2010 I/I Inspection Project is now complete. This project involved the inspection of 255,000 linear feet (48 miles) of sewer mains and inspection of 535 sewer manholes. 

 

The contractor for the project was National Water Main Cleaning Co. of Canton, MA. Work on the project began in February and was completed May at a total cost of $385,250.94.  

 

The Engineering Department prepared all contract documents, bid and awarded the contract, and performed all resident inspection and contract administration in-house. 

 

This project is part of the overall Inflow and Infiltration reduction project currently underway. The findings of this project will be incorporated into a future rehabilitation contract to remove extraneous clean water that enters the sanitary sewer system.
