Community Input Meetings: Future of Dolan Center and Fairbanks Park

The Town of Dedham Parks & Recreation Department invites you to attend two important community input meetings to help shape the future of our local facilities and parks.

Meeting 1: Dolan Center Future Planning

Time: 6:30 PM

Location: Parks and Recreation Offices (former Capen School) Multi-Purpose Room at 310 Sprague Street

Now that the Parks and Recreation Department has relocated to its new space, the Town is beginning a planning process to determine the best possible reuse of the Dolan Center and surrounding outdoor areas. This is a unique opportunity to shape how this facility can continue to serve Dedham residents for years to come.

Our consultant, Activitas, will present some initial ideas and concepts for potential reuse. The Town is eager to hear your feedback, suggestions, and priorities to ensure that any future plans reflect the community’s needs and values.

Meeting 2: Discuss the future of Fairbanks Park

Time: 7:30 PM

Location: Parks and Recreation Offices (former Capen School) Multi-Purpose Room at 310 Sprague Street

The Town has engaged the consulting firm Activitas to study ways to renovate and reconfigure Fairbanks Park. Currently, the park includes three baseball fields and one soccer field. Activitas will present possible proposals for new layouts and improvements that aim to better serve Dedham’s youth sports groups and the broader community.
