The Procurement Department is a centralized office supporting and providing assistance to Town personnel to acquire goods, services, and contracts, as necessary to conduct Town business. The Procurement Department also provides management and oversight of state and federal grants. 

The primary goal of the Procurement Department is to provide assistance and oversight with the process of procuring quality goods and services in a fair, competitive and transparent manner, by using objective standards for the selection of contractors and vendors, through fair, impartial and uniform bidding, contract development and awarding processes.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

The Town of Dedham is accepting proposals from qualified vendors to provide and install an integrated video surveillance and access controls system for the TownCopies of the Request for Proposals (RFP) package will be available beginning Monday November 10th, 2025 and may be obtained at the Procurement Office, 450 Washington St, Dedham, MA 02026, 2nd floor for a $50 non-refundable fee, or online at the Town’s Website for FREE.

Proposals must be submitted no later than  10:00 AM Thursday December 11th, 2025 to the following:

    THE FOLLOWING MASSACHUSETTS GENERAL LAWS REGULATE PROCUREMENT ACTIVITIES:

    • c.30B - Supplies and Services, Real Property, Surplus Equipment
    • c.30,39m - Public Works Construction
    • c.149 - Building Construction
    • c.7C, §§44-57 - Design Services

    THE FOLLOWING THRESHOLDS DICTATE THE TYPE OF PROCUREMENT THAT OCCURS:

    • Less than $10,000 - Sound Business Practices
    • $10,000 to $50,000 - Formal Quote Process
    • $50,000 or more - Sealed Bid (IFB) or Proposal Process (RFP)

    The CPO may opt to employ a more restrictive and competitive process when they feel such a process is in the Town's best interest.
