Dedham Parks & Recreation is seeking reliable and hardworking seasonal Park Maintenance staff to support the overall operation and upkeep of Town parks, facilities, and green spaces. Positions will assist with maintenance duties at parks, the Recreation Center, Town Pool, athletic fields, and other Town of Dedham locations.

The purpose of this role is to help ensure facilities and grounds are safe, professionally maintained, and aesthetically appealing for community use.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Maintenance and preparation of athletic fields.
• Mowing, weeding, tilling, raking, and other general groundskeeping tasks.
• Manual labor, including lifting heavy materials and working in adverse weather condition.
• Janitorial duties in park facilities, including litter pickup and disposal.
• Set-up and breakdown for special events, including field grooming.
• Operation of equipment such as park vehicles, mowers, and related machinery.
• Other duties as assigned to support Parks & Recreation operations.

Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry 30–70 pounds regularly.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.
• Ability to work in outdoor conditions.
• Ability to use or learn to use a variety of tools and equipment.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work productively with limited supervision.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must receive an acceptable CORI/SORI report prior to starting work.
