The holidays are coming to Dedham and there are a number of community events scheduled around Town this season. We have compiled the following list and will continue to update as more events are scheduled:

HAPPENING ALL SEASON

• Dedham Council on Aging Mitten Tree: Please consider purchasing a gift or gift card for a senior in need during this holiday season. The COA Mitten Tree is up in the Ames Senior Center with tags for those interested in donating.

• Holiday Stroll: Ring in the Holidays Square Style! Join the 18^th Annual Dedham Square Circle's Annual Dedham Square Holiday Stroll on Friday, December 6th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., including the tree lighting at 6:30 p.m. and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus! (LEARN MORE).
  • This event will be held rain or shine.

• Dedham Community House Tree and Wreath Sale: Stop by the Dedham Community House (671 High Street, Dedham, MA) from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to purchase a tree, wreath, or both!
  • All proceeds go to support Dedham Community House programs and campus.

• Santa Paws: The Dedham Dog Park is hosting the 2024 Santa Paws Event at the Dolan Recreation Center Gym from 9:45 a.m. to 12 noon. (LEARN MORE)
• Dedham Community House Tree and Wreath Sale: Stop by the Dedham Community House (671 High Street, Dedham, MA) from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to purchase a tree, wreath, or both!
  • All proceeds go to support Dedham Community House programs and campus.
• Santa at the Civaterese/Cushman House: Weather-permitting, Santa will be stopping by the Civaterese/Cushman House (121 Garfield Road) at 5:00 p.m. for the 51st year of this local Christmas Light tradition. All are welcome to enjoy the holiday display and to meet Santa himself!
  • Lights will be on from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. each night (weather-permitting) through December 26, 2024.
• Toys for Dedham Children Drive: Join your Dedham Select Board from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. as they host their annual Toys for Dedham Children event at the American Legion on Eastern Avenue. All toys and donations collected during this event will go directly to children in Dedham thanks to the support and coordination of the Dedham Housing Authority and Dedham Youth Commission.   • And Santa will be stopping by at 7:00 p.m.!

• Council on Aging Annual Holiday Luncheon: The Dedham Council on Aging is hosting a Holiday Luncheon at the 4 Points Sheraton in Norwood from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This event is open to both Dedham residents and non-residents and will include a live music and visits from local officials and community partners.
  • All seats have been filled, so please stay tuned for photos of this festive event!

• Winter Farmers Market: Held once a month through March from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. inside at the Dedham First Church & Parish, features an array of local vendors and artisans.

• Holiday Swim and Movie Night: Unwind after the holiday hustle with a fun evening swim from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Dedham Pool! For just $10.00, enjoy pizza, popcorn, and a drink while the kids relax in the pool watching a holiday movie favorite. It’s the perfect way to kick back, enjoy post-holiday cheer, and wrap up the season swimming. Seats are full, but visit the Parks and Recreation Registration Portal to add your name to the waitlist!
