Heat Advisory In Effect Through July 30

National Weather Service issues Heat Advisory for Dedham through Wednesday

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Heat Advisory for Dedham and surrounding communities through 8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 30. Per the NWS website, a Heat Advisory is issued for dangerous heat conditions that are not expected to reach warning criteria. The NWS recommends postponing or rescheduling outdoor activities, especially during the heat of the day. If you must be outside, be sure to drink plenty of water and take frequent breaks in the shade. Stay in a cool place, especially during the heat of the day and evening.

Places to Cool Down 

To assist those without access to air conditioning, please stop by the following locations this week: 

  • Visit the Ames Senior Center or Public Library (both locations) during normal business hours to stay cool:
