At approximately 3:38 PM officers responded to Whiting Ave by Dedham High School in response to a report of a fight on the roadway. This incident is unrelated to Dedham High School. Responding officers were informed that a nearby road rage type incident preceded this altercation. As a result of this incident, a 19-year-old male from Dedham was placed under arrest. Charges to be sought include assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a dangerous weapon and malicious damage to a motor vehicle. One party suffered a hand laceration.  Coastal Ambulance responded to provide medical care on scene.
