The Public Service Recognition Committee wishes to announce that it is once again time to recognize our Dedham neighbors and friends who have acted beyond expectations to serve our citizens and community. Nominations are now officially open for the Public Service Recognition Award.
The Committee will present both a student and an adult award at the Fall Town Meeting on November 17, 2025. Deadline to submit is October 24, 2025.
About the Award
The Public Service Recognition Award was first awarded in 2013. Since then, winners have represented all facets of Dedham life from selling homemade pizzas to raise funds for neighbors in need to providing critical physical therapy to lengthy volunteer service on town committees.
Last year’s adult winner, Carol Flavell, has been a tireless volunteer for the Dedham Food Pantry, while the junior recipient, Lauren Peloquin, has served the Dedham Human Rights Commission, the Dedham Organization for Substance Awareness, as well as the Dedham Youth Commission.
