Senior Center Debuts First Art Exhibit by Local Seniors

Works of art created by more than 15 local seniors, showcasing different paint and watercolor styles

The Dedham Council on Aging celebrated a milestone recently with its inaugural art exhibit, displaying the creative works of more than 15 local seniors. The exhibit featured pieces from participants in the watercolor class and Decorative Painters group, with artwork ranging from traditional paintings to hand-painted slate pieces.

The Dedham Council on Aging, located in the Ames Senior Center, offers extensive programming for adults aged 55 and older, including art classes, fitness programs, day trips, and educational lectures. The center also provides social services and transportation assistance for Dedham residents. Participation in programs is open to all adults 55 and older, regardless of residency.
