Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle

At approximately 5:06 AM today, our E-911 Dispatch Center received a 911 call related to a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle in the area of Harris Street and High Street in Dedham.

Responding officers, along with Fire Department and Coastal Ambulance personnel, rendered aid to the injured pedestrian.  The pedestrian is a 66-year-old male.  The injured pedestrian was transported via ambulance to a Boston hospital for further medical treatment.  Injuries are believed to be serious.

The Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section along with the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office have been notified.

This crash remains under investigation. The roadway is open.
