Dedham Town Election 2026: Where Do We Start?

Nomination papers can be picked up starting January 20 and must be returned by February 20

The Town of Dedham will hold its annual Town Election on Saturday, April 11, 2026, with polls open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

This is when you'll choose who represents you on local boards and committees and help to make important decisions about our town. Please keep reading for a brief summary of key dates and information as we prepare for the 2026 Town Election:

Key dates to remember:

  • April 1: Last day to register to vote
  • April 6: Deadline for mail-in ballot applications
  • April 11: Election Day (Polls are open 7AM to 8PM)

Positions on the Ballot:

Positions on the following boards/committees will be on your April 2026 Town Election Ballot:

  • Select Board
  • Board of Assessors
  • Town Moderator
  • School Committee
  • Board of Health
  • Planning Board
  • Board of Library Trustees
  • Commissioner of Trust Funds
  • Park and Recreation
  • Housing Authority

Interested in Running for Office?

Nomination papers will be available starting January 20, 2026, at the Town Clerk's Office. The final day to pick up nomination papers is February 17 (by 5PM) and the final day to submit them is February 20 (by 1PM). Papers may be obtained only by a candidate or a person who has the written authorization from the candidate.
