Time to Renew Your Dog License
The annual dog licenses are now available for the 2026 calendar year. All dogs six months and older must be licensed by their owners. The license period runs from January through April 30, with late fees of $25 per household taking effect after May 1.
License fees are $15 for male/female dogs and $10 for spayed/neutered dogs. Residents must provide a current rabies vaccination certificate and proof of spaying/neutering, if applicable. Licenses can be obtained in person at Town Hall, by mail, or through the drop box at the rear of Town Hall. For more information, contact the Town Clerk's office at 781-751-9200.
Annual Town Census Forms in the Mail
Dedham residents may have already seen this in their mailboxes, but we want to share this friendly reminder to return your completed Annual Town Census forms as soon as possible. Massachusetts law requires an annual street listing of residents as of January 1. Responding to the census keeps your voting status active and helps ensure accurate municipal services.
Census forms can be returned by mail using the included envelope, hand-delivered to the Town Clerk's Office, or placed in the drop box at the rear entrance of Town Hall.

Annual Town Election is Saturday, April 11, 2026
Our Annual Town Election will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, with polls open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Positions on the ballot include Select Board, School Committee, Board of Assessors, Town Moderator, Board of Health, Planning Board, Library Trustees, Commissioners of Trust Funds, Parks & Recreation Commission, Housing Authority and Town Meeting Representatives.
Nomination papers are available to pick up at the Town Clerk’s Office, and they must be returned with the required signatures by Friday, February 20 at 5:00 PM. The last day to register to vote in the election is April 1, 2026 at 7:00 PM. The last day to pull nomination papers in February 17!
