Another storm is coming our way on Saturday, February 7 and is expected to bring 4 or more inches of snow to Dedham. Please keep reading to review our snow prep and response plans, and safety guidance for you and your neighbors:
Crews Will Be Out All Day
- Timing: DPW crews will be out as early at 5AM on Saturday, with contractors providing support throughout the day to help clear and treat our roads and public ways
- Parking: Please park on the EVEN side of the street if you do not have a driveway (February is an even month). Tip: Keep an eye out for No Parking signs
- Roads: We got a lot of snow this last storm and colder temperatures have slowed down the melting process. Some streets may be narrow, so please drive slowly, watch for plows, and leave plenty of space between you and other vehicles
How You Can Help
- Clear nearby storm drains and fire hydrants
- Clear sidewalks near your home or business
- Check on neighbors who may need assistance
A Place to Warm Up
Stop by the Main Library on Saturday from 9AM to 5PM, and Endicott Branch on Sunday from 9AM to 2PM to warm up with a good book, or two!
Our Commitment and Appreciation
All available equipment, staff, and contractors will be working throughout the day to clear and treat roads. We appreciate your patience as we tackle another storm while still recovering from the last one.
