Upcoming Tree Removal Work This Weekend by MBTA
The MBTA will be working this weekend (February 14 and 15) within the Commuter Rail right-of-way (along the tracks) near the Endicott Station to remove trees that are located on the MBTA property, parallel to Greenwood Ave.
Please review the following project details for each day of work:
- Work is expected to start at 7AM to put equipment into place
- A crane will be placed at the end of Depot Ave. at the entrance to the station
- MBTA Transit Police will arrive for 8AM as detail
- Tree removal is expected to begin around 8AM
- Crews will remove a total of 12 trees within the ROW, parallel to Greenwood Ave
- Trees will not be removed from Town or private properties
- Crews will demobilize from the site by 6:30PM
Information for Abutters
If you are an abutter to this work on Greenwood Ave, you may see work happening adjacent to your property, and the MBTA may have already contacted you. Crews will use extreme caution and ensure all precautions are in place to avoid any/all damage to nearby properties.
