Call for Art!

The Town of Dedham is partnering with the Mother Brook Arts & Community Center for a new public art project coming to Dedham later this year.

With the help of a generous grant award of $30,395 from the Massachusetts Community Biodiversity Grant Project, the Town will be creating a neighborhood park and pollinator pathway on a 1-acre parcel of land owned by the Town on Sawmill Lane. The final park will include a native wildflower walking trail, rain garden, educational signage, and a free community seed-sharing station.

This is where the art comes in!

As part of this project, a nature-themed art walk will be installed on Sawmill Bridge, featuring 2' x 2' weatherproof vinyl prints by local artists. The installation is expected to be in place by the end of June 2026. Local artists of all ages are invited to submit work with themes celebrating nature, pollinators, local wildlife, and the Dedham landscape. The application deadline is May 7, 2026. Selected artists will each receive a $125 gift card to Mother Brook Arts & Community Center.

How to Apply!
