Shape the Future of Town, School Facilities

Join us April 29 for Facilities Master Plan Community Listening Session
Post Date:04/28/2026 8:30 am

The Town of Dedham is inviting all residents to have a say in how the town cares for its public buildings. A Community Listening Session will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at 6:30 PM, open to anyone who wants to attend, in person at Town Hall or online via Zoom.

This event is part of Dedham’s Facilities Master Plan (FMP) Project, a long-term plan for the Town's shared public spaces, including schools, municipal buildings, libraries, public safety facilities, and other Town-owned spaces.

The Facilities Master Plan Steering Committee will host the session in partnership with the consultant team from Arrowstreet, a Boston-based architecture firm leading the planning effort.

Here’s what you can expect at this event:

  • Meet the project team and learn about the planning process, goals
  • A summary of findings from recent site visits of Town and School facilities
  • Live polling where attendees vote on their top priorities
  • An interactive small-group activity called "Dedham Dollars," where participants practice making budget trade-offs (just like municipal planning!)
  • Public comment and discussion
  • Introduction of community survey

All are welcome and encouraged to participate, and no background in planning or government is needed to participate. This event is designed to be interactive for both in-person and remote audiences.

Bring the whole family - Kids' activities will be provided!

Share your ideas and help shape decisions about Dedham's public spaces.

How to Join – Session starts at 6:30PM on April 29

About the Facilities Master Plan
