The Town of Dedham is proud to announce the promotion of two members of our Fire Department, as of May 2026.

Bob DeVincent has been named Dedham’s new Fire Chief, bringing nearly 30 years of service to this role. Bob joined the Dedham Fire Department as a Firefighter in 1995 and rose through the ranks, serving as Lieutenant, Captain, and most recently Deputy Fire Chief. His experience and commitment to our community make him the right person to lead the Department.

Joining him in the Department's leadership team, Tim Jenkins has been promoted to Deputy Fire Chief. Tim began his career with the Dedham Fire Department as a Firefighter in 2015 and quickly earned a promotion to Lieutenant within just five years before most recently serving as Fire Captain. His dedication and growth within the department make him a natural fit for this new role. With this promotion, Tim joins our skillful team of Deputy Fire Chiefs including Stephen Lynch, William Walsh, and James Neilan.

Goodwin III. “We would also like to take this moment to extend our heartfelt gratitude to former Fire Chief William Spillane. His decades of service to Dedham as a dedicated member of the Fire Department have left a lasting legacy. We wish him the best in his well-deserved retirement.”
