Sprague Street Sidewalks
- Where: Sprague Street, from Durham Rd to the gas station near McDonald Street
- Work Includes:
- Old asphalt sidewalks removed
- New concrete sidewalks poured
- Granite curbing installed
- ADA-accessible ramps added
- Work hours: Monday through Friday, 7AM to 4PM
- Anticipated Impacts:
- All driveways will remain accessible during demo work
- Residents along work zones will receive notice before concrete is poured
- Traffic delays are expected; will do our best to provide as much advance notice as possible!
- Schedules may change due to weather and without notice
MBTA East Street Bridge Replacement Project
Note: This is not a Town project
- Where: MBTA Commuter Rail Bridge over East Street in Dedham
- Work in the roadway includes:
- Widening the travel lanes to 14-feet with a 2-foot shoulder
- Continuous sidewalks on both sides of the road
- Anticipated Impacts:
- MBTA contractors are continuing to pave East Street, install new sidewalks, and restore abutting property parking lots
- Temporary detours may remain in place, consistent with detours used throughout the project
- MBTA is still on track to complete this project by Summer 2026

MIT Endicott House Subsurface Sewer Infrastructure Work
Note: This is not a Town project
- Where: Haven Street/Westfield Street
- Work in the roadway includes:
- Excavate trenches, starting at Westfield Street up to 80 Haven Street
- MIT contractors will backfill/cover trenches at the end of each day
- Anticipated Impacts:
- Traffic may be reduced to one-lane, alternating pattern as needed
- Dedham Police details will be onsite to assist
MassDOT Bussey Street
Note: This is not a Town project
- Where: Bussey Street, from Dedham town line to Chauncey Street
- Work in the roadway includes:
- Removal of defective concrete sidewalk panels along the entire project limits
- Pavement striping
- Anticipated Impacts:
- No anticipated detours currently
- Police details will be onsite to assist with traffic flow
- Please expect large trucks and heavy equipment along Bussey Street during work
- Work is estimated to take approx. 3 weeks to complete
