Post Date:05/29/2026 11:00 am

The Dedham Planning Board appointed the following seven (7) Dedham residents/stakeholders to the new Legacy Boulevard Mixed-Use District (MUD) Study Advisory Committee at its April 22, 2026, meeting:

  • Theodore Coben, resident
  • Jennifer Dopazo Gilbert, resident
  • Julie P. Livingstone, stakeholder
  • Erica Mattison, resident
  • Matt McCreary, resident
  • Richard McGuinness, resident
  • Latisha Rider, resident

The Planning Board appointments join representatives from several Town boards and committees that will serve on the Advisory Committee, including James F. McGrail, Planning Board; Michelle Persson Reilly, Select Board; Michael Patriarca, Finance & Warrant Committee; and Laura Barzola, Zoning Board of Appeals. The Advisory Committee will focus on economic development opportunities and potential zoning updates within the Legacy Boulevard area.

At its April 8, 2026 meeting, the Planning Board endorsed the selection of RKG Associates, Inc. as the project consultant for the plan. Chosen through a highly competitive procurement process, the consulting team will work with the Advisory Committee and town staff to create a plan to harness the desirability of the Legacy Boulevard area by promoting future economic growth, balancing impacts, addressing the Town’s housing needs, while ensuring a stable commercial tax base.

As an initial step in the process, Advisory Committee members, town staff and the consultant team will conduct a walking tour of the study area surrounding Legacy Place on June 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. The site visit will help identify existing conditions, challenges, and potential opportunities within the study area.

The committee’s first public meeting will be held on June 15, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. in Room 302 at Town Hall. Meetings will be open to the public and will include opportunities for community input throughout the planning process.  Please note: This planning project is the result of a grant award from the Healey-Driscoll Administration under the FY26 Community One Stop for Growth Program.
