The Procurement Department is a centralized office supporting and providing assistance to Town personnel to acquire goods, services, and contracts, as necessary to conduct Town business. The Procurement Department also provides management and oversight of state and federal grants. 

The primary goal of the Procurement Department is to provide assistance and oversight with the process of procuring quality goods and services in a fair, competitive and transparent manner, by using objective standards for the selection of contractors and vendors, through fair, impartial and uniform bidding, contract development and awarding processes.

On-Call Goose Control

The Town of Dedham is accepting sealed bids from qualified vendors to perform goose control services. Copies of the Invitation for Bid (IFB) package will be available beginning Monday November 14th, 2022, and may be obtained at the Town Manager’s Office, 450 Washington St, Dedham, MA 02026, 3rd floor for a $50 non-refundable fee, or online at the Town’s Website for FREE, (PLEASE CLICK THIS LINK FOR THE IFB DOCUMENTS) and will be available until submission deadline.

Please refer to the IFB for additional information. Sealed bids must be submitted no later than 12:00 PM Thursday, December 8th, 2022 Rana Mana-Doerfer, Director of Procurement, Town Manager’s Office- 3rd floor, 450 Washington St, Dedham, MA 02026

 

LATE BIDS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

 

The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids as determined to be in the best interests of the Town and to waive minor informalities.

THE FOLLOWING MASSACHUSETTS GENERAL LAWS REGULATE PROCUREMENT ACTIVITIES:

THE FOLLOWING THRESHOLDS DICTATE THE TYPE OF PROCUREMENT THAT OCCURS:

  • Less than $10,000 - Sound Business Practices
  • $10,000 to $50,000 - Formal Quote Process
  • $50,000 or more - Sealed Bid (IFB) or Proposal Process (RFP)

The CPO may opt to employ a more restrictive and competitive process when they feel such a process is in the Town's best interest.
