The Procurement Department is a centralized office supporting and providing assistance to Town personnel to acquire goods, services, and contracts, as necessary to conduct Town business. The Procurement Department also provides management and oversight of state and federal grants. 

The primary goal of the Procurement Department is to provide assistance and oversight with the process of procuring quality goods and services in a fair, competitive and transparent manner, by using objective standards for the selection of contractors and vendors, through fair, impartial and uniform bidding, contract development and awarding processes.

The Town of Dedham is accepting sealed bids for HVAC Service & Repairs (Seasonal & On-Call) Copies of the Invitation for Bid (IFB) package will be available beginning Wednesday February 1st, 2023 and may be obtained at the Town Manager’s Office, 450 Washington St, Dedham, MA 02026, 3rd floor for a $50 non-refundable fee, or online at the Town’s Website for FREE

LATE BIDS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. Bids will be publicly opened after submission deadline. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids as determined to be in the best interests of the Town and to waive minor informalities. 

Selection of the contractor will be based upon bidder qualifications, including evidence of past performance in similar projects, and bid price. Please note that the Town of Dedham intends to award this contract to multiple
vendors due to the amount of equipment and level of service required. Each bid item maybe awarded to one or more responsive and responsible bidder(s).

THE FOLLOWING MASSACHUSETTS GENERAL LAWS REGULATE PROCUREMENT ACTIVITIES:

  • c.7C, §§44-57 - Design Services

THE FOLLOWING THRESHOLDS DICTATE THE TYPE OF PROCUREMENT THAT OCCURS:

  • Less than $10,000 - Sound Business Practices
  • $10,000 to $50,000 - Formal Quote Process
  • $50,000 or more - Sealed Bid (IFB) or Proposal Process (RFP)

The CPO may opt to employ a more restrictive and competitive process when they feel such a process is in the Town's best interest.
