The Procurement Department is a centralized office supporting and providing assistance to Town personnel to acquire goods, services, and contracts, as necessary to conduct Town business. The Procurement Department also provides management and oversight of state and federal grants. 

The primary goal of the Procurement Department is to provide assistance and oversight with the process of procuring quality goods and services in a fair, competitive and transparent manner, by using objective standards for the selection of contractors and vendors, through fair, impartial and uniform bidding, contract development and awarding processes.

The Town of Dedham is accepting sealed bids for the Dedham Incinerator Abatement and Demolition. Copies of the Invitation for Bid (IFB) package will be available beginning Wednesday October 30th, 2024 and may be obtained at the Town Manager’s Office, 450 Washington St, Dedham, MA 02026, 3rd floor for a $50 non-refundable fee, or online at the Town’s Website for FREE.

 Sealed general bids must be submitted no later than  10:00 AM Thursday February 13th, 2025 to the following:

THE FOLLOWING THRESHOLDS DICTATE THE TYPE OF PROCUREMENT THAT OCCURS:

  • Less than $10,000 - Sound Business Practices
  • $10,000 to $50,000 - Formal Quote Process
  • $50,000 or more - Sealed Bid (IFB) or Proposal Process (RFP)

The CPO may opt to employ a more restrictive and competitive process when they feel such a process is in the Town's best interest.
