The Code Enforcement Officer is responsible for:
- Conducting investigations, administer municipal sanitary codes, and enforce local zoning regulations.
- Inspection of existing industrial, commercial, multi-family, single-family housing and adjoining property to determine and record compliance with local by-laws and to assist with the prosecution of violators.
- Work is performed in strict conformance with laws, by-laws, regulations and departmental policy. Supervision is received from the Town Manager who reviews work through study of prepared cases and through conference, and who, when necessary, provides assistance in meeting desired case objectives.
