The Capital Expenditures Committee performs an annual review and makes recommendations on the Town's five-year capital improvement plan, which details improvements to Town-owned buildings. The committee also allocates funds for Town projects and studies, all of this as defined in Town Bylaw Chapter 39, Section 9

The Capital Expenditures Committee has five members, all of whom must be registered voters in Dedham. Three members are appointed to staggered, 3-year terms by the Town Moderator. The Finance and Warrant Committee Chair and the Planning Board Chair each appoint one member annually. Current members include:

Michael A. Podolski Chair Planning Board 2019
Drew Pepoli Vice Chair Town Moderator 2020
Susan Fay Member Finance and Warrant Committee 2019
Marianne Martin Levin Member Town Moderator 2019
Mark Whelan

Town Moderator 2020

Town boards and committees are staffed by volunteers who may not be available during business hours. If you need a response during business hours, please contact the Finance Office.

The Capital Expenditures Committee meets in the months leading up to the spring annual Town Meeting to review Capital requests. Public meeting dates and times are posted at Town Hall and the Dedham Public Library at least 48 hours before each meeting in compliance with the Massachusetts Open Meeting Law. Meeting agendas will also be posted on this website.

The Board of Assessors meets on the third Thursday of each month, but not on even-numbered days.
