Coalition for Drug and Alcohol Awareness works to
- Increase awareness of substance use within the community,
- Improve communication between parents, youth, and educators,
- Utilize evidence-based data to promote education, and
- Encourage prevention and provide access to resources
The mission statement of the DCFDAA is to reduce and prevent youth (and adult) substance use by increasing community collaboration and by utilizing evidence based prevention strategies
The Coalition for Drug and Alcohol Awareness has four leadership members. All members voluntarily join and contribute. Current members include:

Town boards and committees are staffed by volunteers who may not be available during business hours. If you need a response during business hours, please contact the Health Department.
The Coalition for Drug and Alcohol Awareness holds morning and evening meetings on the first Tuesday of each month in the lower conference room at Town Hall. The Coalition meets 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on those Tuesdays.
Meeting notices are posted at Town Hall and the Dedham Public Library at least 48 hours before each meeting in compliance with the Massachusetts Open Meeting Law. Meeting agendas will also be posted on this website.
