The Town of Dedham has partnered with Black Earth Compost, a regional composting collection service, to offer residents curbside compost subscriptions (four different options).
Subscription Services
Curbside composting offers residents the opportunity to participate in diverting their organic waste, without the additional time and effort typically associated with backyard composting! Residents add their food waste to their Black Earth Compost receptacle (residents may select either a 13-gallon or 4-gallon bin) and place it curbside on their designated collection day.
Black Earth Compost currently offers four subscription options*
| Payment period | Weekly Collection | Every Other Week Collection |
|---|---|---|
| One-month payment | $21.99 | $16.99 |
| Six-Month Payment | $119.99 | $94.99 |
*Density Price Reduction: Once 300 households are enrolled, the price of service for all participants will be reduced up to 17%. The more people to sign up, the less you pay!
