Annual Town Election Saturday April 11, 2026

Nomination Papers will be available on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

SIGNATURES REQUIRED

  • Major Office: 50 registered voters throughout the Town
  • Town Representatives: 10 registered voters from your precinct
Dates to Remember
  • Tuesday, February 17, 2026: Last day to pick up nomination papers 5:00 PM
  • Friday, February 20, 2026: Last day for submitting nomination papers to Registrars for certification of signatures by 1:00 PM 
  • Voter Registration Deadline: April 1, 2026 by 5:00 PM
  • Vote by Mail Application Deadline: April 6, 2026
  • Early Voting: April 4 & April 5: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM 
  • Election Day Polling Hours: 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM

Select Board, Board of Assessors, Town Moderator, School Committee, Board of Health, Planning Board, Board of Library Trustees, Commissioner of Trust Funds, Park and Recreation, Housing Authority.

Board of Registrars

The Board of Registrars is a group of Dedham voters who conduct elections and keep election and voter records. The Town Clerk is automatically a member as the chief elections and records officer of the Town. Three other members are appointed by the Board of Selectmen for staggered, three-year terms. The current members are:

  • Registering to Vote: The first thing you need to do to vote is to register with either the Town Clerk or the Secretary of the Commonwealth. You may register in-person, by mail, or online.
  • Absentee & Mail In Voting: Elections are typically held on one day, however you have the option to vote Absentee or by Mail In with an Updated Application. There will be Early Voting by Mail & In Person for the 2025 local Town elections
  • Voting Precincts & Polling Places: When you go to vote on Election Day, you are to vote at a specific location. 
  • Election Dates: Track when elections are held and for what offices.
  • Election Results: Going back to 2006, view election results from within the Town.
  • Local Campaign Finance Guide: For first-time local political candidates, be sure to follow this guide to comply with legal requirements around your candidacy.
