While the expectation is that appointees will attend all board meetings, the Select Board recognizes that exceptional circumstances, such as personal illness, family emergencies, or other significant obligations or occurrences, may arise from time to time that prevent attendance at a particular meeting. A member who will be absent from a meeting based upon an exceptional circumstance shall provide to the board chair, or designated staff liaison advance notice of such absence.
